Precast/Prestressed Girder Help

Debonding Pattern

The debonding layout can be entered directly into the grid by typing in each cell of a particular row. Click the Debond button to activate the Debonding Pattern as shown in the figure below. Here, you will see the same strands from the Strand Pattern bundled into strand groups of a maximum of two strands. For each group, you can modify the default jacking pull force or specify debonding from the beam end, or from midspan if using midspan debonding/shielding. An integrated design status screen shows the updated results of any changes to the input. Specific groups to be debonded horizontally can be selected by selecting the group with the horizontal X axis distance identified.

Figure Debonding Pattern

Precast/Prestressed Girder will automatically generate an optimized debonding pattern by clicking the Auto Debond button. The program will use the values specified in the Debonding Length Increment and Maximum Auto-Debonding Percentage fields in the Materials tab, and regenerates the list of strands debonded based on these specifications. Click the Reset button to reset the list to all zero values for debonding. Click OK to accept all changes.
